South African noirwave pioneer Petite Noir (aka Yannick Ilunga) has just announced the follow up to his critically-acclaimed 2015 album La vie est belle / Life Is Beautiful. Comeback single 'Blame Fire' is a powerful piece of danceable experimentalism the marries energetic drums with airy synthesisers and Ilunga's infectious melodies. Petite Noir explained, "The track is a personal journey into my life and experiences. This is the first time in my career that I have ever been this honest with my art/music. Being an immigrant and being forced to mobilise has taught me how to navigate this current reality using the gifts that I have been given to me. To turn my unique experience of exile into something bigger than myself." Mini-album La Maison Noir / The Black House will be released on the 5th of October. - Holly Mullineaux
